Katherine M. Heffner, 90, formerly of N. Front St., Reading, died Wednesday at ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, Berks County, where she lived since June 13, 1996. Born in Summit Station, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jennie Manbeck Schaeffer. Her husband, William A., died Jan. 2, 1981. Surviving are a son, a daughter and two sisters, June Miller, Hamburg, and Pauline Hummel, Pine Grove. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Interment will be in Manbeck Cemetery, Summit Station.
