Nancy A. Anderson, age 69, of Lexington, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1937, in Detroit. She has lived in Lexington for the past 15 years. She married Andrew C. Anderson on July 12, 1958, in Detroit.
Nancy worked for a short time at Mary Maxim. She enjoyed crafting. Nancy mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. They were the most important part of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Andrew Anderson of Lexington; five children, Catherine (Timothy) Grueber, Pete (Dawn) Anderson, Barbara (Kevin) Murringer, Diane (Steve) Ray, and Ellen (Rich) Simons; 10 grandchildren, Adam and Kaitlyn Grueber, Corianna and Brittany Anderson, Steven and Nicholas Ray, Kaci and Chessie Murringer, and Hannah and Jacob Simons; one sister, Darlene (Joseph) Lee; and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth (Patricia) Schneider.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lexington with The Rev. Barry Sheldon officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Saginaw.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Smith Family Funeral Home North, 1525 Hancock Street. Friends may also visit one hour before the funeral service at church.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or The Detroit Lutheran High School Association.
