Mrs. Fred Baggenstoss, a resident of the Albany Community for many years, died at her home in Waite Park at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, November 18th after being ill for some time. She was 66 years of age.
Mrs. Baggenstoss was born December 12, 1874, in Behrenburg, Germany. She came from Germany with her parents at the age of six years. They settled in Avon in 1881. Later they moved to Albany township where Mrs. Baggenstoss lived until she was married on June 4, 1895. Mr. and Mrs. Baggenstoss lived in the vicinity of Albany until three years ago when they moved to Waite Park.
Mrs. Baggenstoss survives with the following children: Albert of Brooten; Hildegard (Mrs. George Kelm) of Excelslor; Fred Jr. of Upsala; Rose (Mrs. Paul Klein) of Holdingford; August of Upsala; Clara (Mrs. Herman Schleicher) of Waite Park; Elmer of Upsala; Malinda (Mrs. Milford Huberty) of Waite Park; Willard in Waite Park. There are 51 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, a brother, Richard Schueman, lives in Wisconsin, and a sister, Mrs. August Mockenaupt in St. Cloud.
Mrs. Baggenstoss was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and has been president of the Ladies aid society of the local Ebenezer church for 30 years.
Funeral services were held at the residence in Wait Park at one p.m. Wednesday and at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Ebenezer church in Albany with Rev. Herrlinger officiating and burial made in the local Ebenezer cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Reinke, Adolph Hodel and Rudolph Hodel, Otto Schleieher (sic), Herman Kelm, and John Christen.
