The daughter of William and Ina (Burley) Schumann, Norine Schumann was born September 3, 1913 in Pinconning, Michigan. She married Frank W. LaPonsey Jr., October 11, 1941 in Linwood. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1975.
Norine LaPonsey was survived by
son, Ronald (Becky) along with
four grandchildren, Rhonda (Darius) Vallad, Gregg LaPonsey, Trina Finkbeiner, Stefanie LaPonsey (Jon Bleshenski),
four great grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) and Janessa Vallad, Kolin and Chase Finkbeiner,
four great-great grandchildren Clayton, Addison, Paige and Paisley Vallad,
sister in law Ella Schumann and
many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents and loving husband, Norine was predeceased by her three brothers, Elmer Schumann, Clifford Schumann, and Bernard Schumann and a great-great grandson, Isaac Vallad.
Some of the many things Norine enjoyed, besides spending time with her family, were playing cards, Bunco Club, shopping, crocheting and polka music. Norine will be deeply missed and her memory will be cherished always.
Funeral: Pinconning United Methodist Church. Pastor Don Mosher officiated with burial in the St. Michael's Cemetery.
