Laura B. Bracken, age 67, of Palisade, CO, passed away at her home, Wednesday, November 6, 2013.

Born July 23, 1946, in Laredo, Texas, she was the daughter of Marshall M. Scott, of Grand Junction, and the late, Bertie B. Scott.

During her career, she was a Teacher's Aid at Taylor Elementary School and was a teller at Palisade National Bank. But most importantly, she was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children.

She enjoyed needlepoint, quilting by hand, reading, puzzles, and various other hobbies over the years, as well as visiting with family and friends.

She lived in Palisade for 66 years and was a member of the First Palisade Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Buck Bracken; a son, Ronald W. (Terri) Bracken, Ft. Myers, FL; two daughters, Kara D. Kuechler (Trent Monger), and Andrea L. Bracken (Chris Christianson), both of Clifton, CO; her father, Marshall M. Scott, of Grand Junction, CO; two granddaughters, Payton and Taylor Kuechler, of Clifton, CO; a brother, Morris Scott, of Parker, CO, and a sister, Lorraine Gillis, of Thornton, CO. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9th at 1:00 p.m. at First Palisade Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HopeWest Hospice, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506.

Services were entrusted to Palisade Funeral Home.
