Macon- Sara Beth Adams, 95, of John Wesley Villas, died Thursday, February 3, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00AM at Oaklawn Cemetery, Fort Valley, Georgia. The Reverend Tommy Martin will officiate.

Mrs. Adams was the wife of the late Coy Roscoe Adams, Sr. and the daughter of the late George Pierce Scruggs and the late Effie Culverhouse Scruggs. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joe Ed Scruggs, Claude Scruggs and Walter Quillian Scruggs. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Crawford County High School. A member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and the Edith Coleman Sunday School Class, she kept the nursery at the church. Many people will remember her from the Youth Center at Mulberry. She was a member of the Dorcas Circle of the UMW and the Young At Heart Group. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Sidney Lanier Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and was a secretary in the Music Department at Mercer University.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her five children, Betty "Hollis" Jordan Wood (Roy) of Lizella, Coy Roscoe Adams (Nevelean) of Lake Sinclair, Carolyn Hubbard (Joe) of Macon, Johnny Adams (Carole) of Alpharetta, and Joe "Bucky" Adams (Evelyn) of Macon; ten grandchildren, Chuck Wood (Ellen), Greg Wood (Dawn), Rainney Hubbard Shell (David), Rhonda Adams Matson (George), Lori Adams Payne, Theresa Adams Nuon (Kam), Tashee Adams Trotter (Thomas), Coy Adams, John George Adams II and Aimee Adams Dasher (Will) and fourteen great-grandchildren.
