Margaret attended Washington School in Menominee and graduated from Menominee High School in 1933.
She married Norman Behrendt on January 17, 1940 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June, 1990. Her husband preceded her in death on November 12, 1990.
Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marinette, where she served on numerous committees and also sang in the choir. She was a former President of Garfield PTA; worked for the Marinette Red Cross Blood Mobile for 36 years and served as President of the Marinette Women's Club.
Surviving are two daughters: Bonnie (Merritt "Skip") Bohse of Oregon, WI and Joni Behrendt of Carlisle, Pennsylvania;
five sons: Jeff (Nancy), Greg (Jean) and Brad (Ellen) all of Marinette, WI; Perry (Minerva) of Menominee, MI and Nick (Leslie) of Grand Rapids,MI;
nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a sister-in-law Agnes Behrendt.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Rudy and Jeanne (Mrs. George) Madden [10/31/1913- 4/10/2009 in Honolulu, Hawaii]; one brother Dr. Roger Seidl and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Seidl.
Funeral services held at First United Methodist Church in Marinette.
