Daniel E. Seidl, 60, Adell, Wisconsin, passed away while in Hospice care at the Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Oct 13, 2014. He fought a very strong but short fight with cancer and calmly passed with family members at his bedside.
Dan was born on August 17th, 1954 in Marshfield to Eugene and Regina (Bangart) Seidl. He was baptized at St Michaels Parish in Hewitt, where he also attended the Catholic school, made his First Communion and is where he was later married to Barb Schiferl in May of 1975. The 10 year marriage produced his two children and subsequently his three grandchildren. He graduated Auburndale High School in 1973 and soon moved to Milwaukee to begin working. His working career was at Evinrude, Kapco Steel in Grafton and 32 years at Super Steel in Milwaukee where he worked until this past August 26th.
His hobby was wood working in his home garage. He built heirloom quality custom doll houses and farm sets, refinished antique furniture, built clocks and general wood working. He also enjoyed camp fires, and in recent years deer hunting with his close friends Scott and Barney. Another great virtue was Dan’s big heart. He would help anyone while putting his own needs on the sideline.
Dan is lovingly remembered by his son Paul Seidl and his wife Stephanie of Peoria, IL, daughter Cindi of St Louis, Mo, and his precious Grand Children, Joshua (10), Elizabeth (8) and Micaiah (5) of Peoria. He is also survived by his parents, Eugene and Regina (Bangart) Seidl of Hewitt, WI and by eight siblings Ken of Port Washington, Glen (Vicki) of Stevens Point, Randy (Sue), Steve, Tom (Deb), Marylou Kollross (Ed) of Auburndale, Dave (Amy) of Menasha, and Debbie of Appleton, plus aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Dan’s wishes were to be cremated and returned back home to Hewitt for a burial at St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery making this a full circle of his life. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Jesse Burish officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am on Wednesday until service time at the church. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
