Opal Rosetta (Sennett) Crone, 95, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Countryside Nursing Home in Pilot Point, Texas. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Dorsey Cemetery. Born March 21, 1919, in Tannehill, she was the daughter of Lewis Hamilton Sennett and Martha Barnard Sennett. She was one of 12 children. She was a homemaker. She married Earl (Buck) Crone on Dec. 10, 1939, in Arpelar. She worked as a cook at Haywood High School and after that worked in food service at McAlester Regional Health Center. She lived in Pittsburg County until 2004 when she moved in with her son in Claremore. She later moved in with her oldest daughter in Oklahoma City and remained there for nine years. She moved to her other daughter in Krum, Texas, and in September 2013 she went to Countryside Nursing Home in Pilot Point. Survivors include her three children, Virginia Olney, of Oklahoma City, and her five children, Doris Branch, Krum, Texas, and her three children, and Donald Crone, of Claremore, and his three children, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her siblings.
