Dr. Ajay R. Shah, 53 years, of Grosse Ile, MI, went to the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was born November 30, 1960, in Sambalpur, Orissa, India. Raised by his parents, Dr. Ramesh and Indira Shah. The family moved to San Luis Obispo, CA when Ajay was 10 years old. Ajay obtained a biochemistry degree from Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo and graduated with a M.D. degree from Michigan State University, where he met his wife, Judy Macy M.D., who was in his graduating class. Ajay completed a pathology residency and cytology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He worked in the Toledo Clinic as a Pathologist, and specialized in fine needle ultrasound guided biopsies to detect cancer. He loved his work and even more so loved his family.

He has 3 children, Nicholas, Julia and Joshua Shah, who will miss him dearly. He was a Boy Scout Leader, soccer coach and helped with Trinity Lutheran Monroe Cross Country Team. He was a beloved husband and father, innovative physician and brave cancer fighter.

Ajay is survived by his wife, Dr Judy Macy; children, Nicholas, Julia and Joshua Shah; parents, Dr. Ramesh and Indira Shah; brother, Dr. Jayesh Shah; niece, Abby Shah; nephew, Tristan Shah and many loving family and friends.

Memorial gathering Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 1:00-9:00 p.m. at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd,, Trenton. There will be a Boy Scout Service Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial mass will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grosse Ile. Also there will be a prayer service at the Hindu Temple of Toledo, 4336 King Rd., Sylvania, OH 43560 on Friday, November 14, at 5:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Orphanages of India.
