Mary Etta Shelby-Carroll, of North Little Rock, "a true Lady who never revealed her age" was received into eternal life on January 17, 2008.

She leaves behind a loving and devoted daughter and best friend Lisa K. Shelby, her beloved dog, Foxy Mae Carroll and one grand cat, Charley.

Retired from SW Bell with 30 successful years of service, she began as an operator and worked her way into several management positions and she was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers

After leaving MA Bell, she owned and operated the Thrifty Liquor Store for 12 years.
Mary lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger, and always offered her wise advice and friendship to all. Her life was surrounded with love from her closest friends and family. She was a member of St Luke's Episcopal Church in North Little Rock.

Services to be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, January 22, 2008 At St Luke's Episcopal Church, with Father Keith A. Gentry officiating. Arrangements made by Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400).
