Mrs. Sheldon, 77 years old, died yesterday, Thursday, November 6, 1947, in her home at 509 Dover Place of a kidney ailment. The Rev. Dr. Sheldon, pastor of the Olive Branch Congregational Church from 1922 to 1928, died on October 6, 1930. She was born in Conlogue, Ill. on Aug. 18, 1870 to Henry G. and Triphena Ames.
Surviving are two sons, Royal B. Sheldon of Seattle, Wash., and Charles S. Sheldon, and five daughters Mrs. Harold A. (Charity) Rapp, with whom she lived, Mrs. Frank (Jessie) Spaid of Sullivan, Mo., Mrs. Carl (Maude) Johnson of Alton, Ill., Miss Faith F. Sheldon and Miss Hope Sheldon, a missionary in El Salvador.
