The daughter of Henry Alvin and Dana May (Stephens) Sheppard, Pearl was a lifetime resident of the Abilene area. She attended school at Valley Creek in south Taylor county and married Alfred B. Allred in 1932 in Ballinger. Mrs. Allred had worked for T. S. Lankford Co for five years, then for Timex of Abilene for 23 years. She had been a member of Caps Baptist Church for 60 years, where she had taught a Sunday School Class.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred (1995), and four brothers, Barney, L.W., H.A., and Darwin Sheppard.
