Easley, SC - Stella Sheriff Barbrey, 88, of 516 Sheriff Mill Road, wife of the late Lewis Barbrey, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at her home.

Born in Easley, SC, a daughter of the late James Franklin and Mary Ellen Cargill Sheriff. Mrs. Barbrey formerly worked at J.P. Stevens & Company - Dunean Plant and was an active gardener and homemaker. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, James E. Barbrey (Donna) of Easley; two sisters, Sara Pickens and Mary Nalley, both of Easley; and 3 grandchildren, Lisa McAlister, Chris Barbrey and Kyle Barbrey, all of Easley; 3 great-grandchildren, Cody McAlister, Sara M. Furr and Cassidy Barbrey; 2 great, great-Grandchildren, Garrett Furr and Coeben Furr.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Barbrey was predeceased by three brothers, George Sheriff, Rosamond Sheriff and Bruce Sheriff and by a sister, Lettie Hughes.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2PM, prior to the service, at the church. The family is at the home of Lisa McAlister, 500 Sheriff Mill Road, Easley.
