Mrs. Allgood was born August 26, 1899 in Versailles, Mo., a daughter of Millard Fillmore and Lettie Shore. She was united in marriage to Clinton B. Allgood, September 24, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo. To this union nine children were born, five sons, Clinton Jr., William, Elic, Charles and Harry; four daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Livings, Mrs. Lettie Schulz, Mrs. Shirley Ward and Geraldine Allgood.
Mrs. Allgood was a member of the Methodist church, transferring to the Geneva church when the family moved here in 1944. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, being treasurer of the Geneva chapter for several years. She also belonged to the Merry Mixers Kensington.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Clinton Jr. and Harry.
Besides her husband and children, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Lettie Shore, two brothers, Guy and Carl, and four sisters, Mrs. Odetta Tisher, Mrs. Mabel Schepers, Mrs. Pearl Holliday and Mrs. Lee Gonder.
Funeral services were held at First Methodist church in Geneva at 2:30 p. m. Friday, August 22, Rev. Alden B. Sears officiated. Carol Jean Turek sang “In the Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Miss Harriett Scott was accompanist. Pallbearers were Roy H. Miller, Robert Kiester, C. H. Biester, Edward H. Schmidt, James Willy and Orville Dunkin. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
