Nancy Angellotti, age 63, passed away on October 3, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born in Chicago, IL, on October 18, 1951 to the late Kenneth and Dorothy Sjogren, grew up in Chicago Heights, graduated from Bloom High School and attended college at Valparaiso University.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Angellotti, on February 26, 1972. They were married for 43 years and together 48 years.

Nancy always put others first. She was a wife, mother and grandmother, and devoted her life to being a loving, kind and compassionate caregiver for her two daughters, husband, and later in life, to her father, mother, aunt and uncle. After her children grew up she worked in healthcare administration for 10 years.

She loved life and laughter, and her favorite things were family time, reading, road trips, dogs and cats, sports, hitting jackpots on slot machines, bowling, holidays and cooking.

Nancy and Robert retired in 2007 and moved to Arizona. There they enjoyed 8 wonderful years in a retirement community near Phoenix, relaxing in the sunshine, visiting with friends, and traveling the Southwestern U.S. They spent much of those 8 years visiting their two daughters in California and Arizona and Nancy was so happy that the family always remained very close.

She is survived by (husband) Robert Angellotti, (daughters) Julie Jacobs and Kristy Angellotti, (grandson) Dominic Jacobs, (son-in-law) Michael Jacobs, and (sister) Bonnie Roth, along with her beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Nancy was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in April of 2015 and fought the disease for 7 months. She spent her last months of life surrounded by family, enjoying time with her baby grandson, traveling, and kept a positive and hopeful spirit until her very last days.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held at Hacienda del Sol in Tucson, Arizona, on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 11-2.
