GALESBURG - Calvin L. "Cork" Smith, 75, Galesburg, died at home. He was born June 25, 1931, in Galesburg. He married Janis Swigert Jamison. Surviving are his wife; two children, Kay and David; and two stepchildren, Kelly and Dale. He was preceded in death by a brother. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1949. He was a barber for 34 years and a welder at Butler Manufacturing Co. for 22 years. He served four years in the Navy, 1949 to 1953. Cremation was accorded. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
