Barbara Christine Smith Hawkins 1939 ~ 2009 Barbara passed away peacefully on October 23, 2009. She was born to Erma Blanche Warrington Smith and Clarence Douglas Smith on January 2, 1939 in Lebanon, Mo. She married Adrian Morris "Hawk" Hawkins on February 15, 1957. She is survived by her husband; her children Marvin (Martee), Scotty (Cindi), Richard (Tracy), Tina (Blane) Privett, and Tamara (Paul) Evans; her grandchildren Melissa (Nate), Matt (Stephanie), Adam, Renee, Tyler (Lyndsay), Tiffany, Callie and one on the way; her great-grandchildren Emma, Marley, Makayla, Brianna and Alexis. Survived by one brother and three sisters, preceded in death by parents, three brothers and two sisters. Barbara was a Master Gardener, served in Girl Scouts for over 30 years (recently receiving The Legacy of Service Award), involved for many years in Tooele Quilters Guild, Tooele Homemakers, Senior Circle, and the Tooele Senior Center (Bingo Caller). Barbara will be loved and missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Tate Mortuary, 110 So Main St. Tooele on Friday, October 30, 2009 1:00 p.m. There will be a visitation from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. Although Mom loved flowers, she requested donations to The Lymphoma /Leukemia Society or The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
