My Mommy
We are going to miss you, Mom.

Geraldine B Montag passed away June 14, 2007 to join her loving husband, Bobby L., who went to clear the way May 4, 1997. She was born in Aurora, Nebraska August 31, 1925 to her parents, Clarence Ivory and Gertrud Butler Smith who preceded her in death, as well as her twin brother, Gerald Smith, and a set of twin brothers, Ivern and Ivory Smith.
Mom is survived by her seven children; daughter, Claudia Monahan of Beaverton, Oregon; and six sons, Lynn V. Montag, Orem, Frank L. Montag, wife, Phyllis, Bluffdale, Larry G. Montag, wife, Laurie, Pleasant Grove, Dennis B. Montag, wife, Betty, St. George, Grant K. Montag, wife, Vala, Herriman, and Blaine G. Montag, wife, Dana, Lehi. She also has 33 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and one great great great-grandchild. Mom is the oldest of 10 children. She is leaving six surviving siblings to hold down the fort, Bud Smith, Betty Lou Sutton, Beth Montague, Sherman Smith, Charlene Forsgren, and Charles Smith.
Mom grew up in Murray, UT, and where she met her eternal sweetheart, Bobby. They were married March 29, 1947 and their marriage was solemnized July 23, 2002. Geraldine and Bobby have made their homes in Murray, Orem, and American Fork, Utah. In Mom's life, she worked at Sweet's Candy Company, as a Candy Striper at Children Primary Hospital helping with the children that had polio, served her country by loading ammo belts for the solders in World War II, and helped with students that had reading disorders at Orem Jr. High. Mom has always made her house into a home for her children, family, and friends. Mom is going to be missed by all who love her, and we are going to miss her love.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi West Stake Center, 1920 North 500 West, Lehi. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the stake center and one hour prior to services. Interment, Utah Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1117 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
