Loving wife of D. Burnel Cox for 59 years, she was born in Westminster, SC, a daughter of the late Wade and the late Zelia Smith.
Mrs. Cox was an employee of Hardees for 22 years, and was a member of Choice Hills Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Christine Smith of Greenville; a son, Ronnie Cox and his wife, Pam, of Greenville; a sister, Rosa Lee Pointer of Seneca; grandchildren, Jason and Travis Cox; and a great-grandson, Tyler Cox.
She was predeceased by an infant son; and a brother, Clarence Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with visitation prior to the service, from 12 to 1:15 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West.
