Mrs. Ada Smith Brown, 89, of New York, formerly of Plainfield, died yesterday (May 8, 1967) at St Luke's Hospital in New York after a long illness.
She was a widow of the late Robert Calvin Brown who died in 1945. He was a vice president and treasurer of the Empire State Building.
She was the mother of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Ramsey of Plainfield N.Y., who died in 1963. Surviving are one son, Walter N Brown of Chestnut Hill and Chatham, Mass.; three grandchildren, Mrs. Elisabeth Ramsey Wood of 835 Kensington Ave., Miss Sandra Brown of New York and Robert C Brown of Indianapolis; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Williams Chapel in New York, and interment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
