Georgia Anna Johnson, 90, of Castleton Corners, a homemaker, retired bank teller, and devout member of Jehovah's Witnesses, died Saturday at Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.

Born Georgia Anna Smith in Louisville, Kentucky, she graduated from Central Colored High School there.

She moved to Port Richmond in 1941 and also lived in New Brighton before settling in Castleton Corners.

Also a homemaker, Mrs. Johnson worked as a bank teller at Chase Manhattan Bank and the former Chemical Bank.

She also worked in the dietary department of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home, and was a distributor for Blair Products.

She was a member of the PTA at PS 29 when her children were in school.

Mrs. Johnson enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, scrapbooking, and making photo albums.

She belonged to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Stapleton.

Her husband of forty years, James, died in 1986.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson are her daughters, Jacquella Johnson, Paula Green, Georgette Johnson, and Candice Knight; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00.p.m. in the Stapleton Kingdom Hall.
Burial will take place on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Silver Mount Cemetery.
