Norma Jean Allen, 78, of Greenville, wife of Thomas Allen, died Sunday, October 30, 2011.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Roy Gordon and Grace Burdine Smith.

Mrs. Allen worked for the Greenville County Clerk of Courts and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two nieces, Melinda Brown and Melissa Williams; a nephew, Randy Noe (Kelley) of Lufkin, TX; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Sams Smith; great niece and nephews, Rebecca Williams, Paul Brown, and Alex Noe.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Mason Smith.

Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 12 Piney Road, Greenville, SC 29611.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. Burial will be private.
