Mrs. Bennett was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Houston, daughter of Ernest W. and Nellie Lee Smith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her friends and her family. She never met a stranger, and her friends were considered part of the family.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nellie Smith, and her husband, Lynn E. Bennett.
Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, James and Nancy Pixley of Dallas and Randy and Amy Bennett of Cypress; and grandchildren, Cray Pixley of Dallas, Jennifer Bennett of Cypress and Brandon Bennett of Cypress.
