Frances Smith, 86, of Rock Valley died Saturday, February 19, at Hegg Memorial Hospital, Rock Valley.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pioneer United Methodist Church in Rock Valley with the Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley.
Mrs. Smith was born December 2, 1918, at Doon, the daughter of Andrew and Kate (Erickson) Anderson. They lived east of Rock Valley.
She was a Shaklee distributor for many years.
Her husband died June 21, 1995.
She continued to live east of Rock Valley until moving to Valley Manor in April 2001.
She was a 50-year member of Pioneer United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons and their wiyes, Roger and Dorothy Smith and Robert and Nancy Smith, all of Rock Valley, and Douglas and Dee Smith of Sioux City; a daughter, Diane Olson of Emerson, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother and his wife, W. C. "Speck" and Barb Anderson of Rock valley; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Anderson of Hawarden, Martha Anderson of Doon and Letha Tibbetts of Yucaipa, California; and lifelong friend, Mildred Klein of Rock Valley.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ivan, Elmer, Adolph "Stub" and Jim Anderson.
