Kathy L. Bibbs, Galesburg Chapel age 63 of Galesburg, Ill. died Tuesday December 2, 2014 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center at 9:55 PM.
She was born June 24, 1951 in St. Augustine, Ill. the daughter of Lawrence and Ethel Dalton Smith.
Kathy is survived by one daughter Brandy Bibbs and her husband John Brooks of Galesburg, Ill., and two half-sisters Verla Smith and Laveta Schoonover both of Galesburg, Ill., two grandchildren Dakota Bibbs and Emma Brooks both of Galesburg, Ill.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1969. She was the head of housekeeping at Seminary Estates for sixteen years before retiring in 2006. She was a member of Community of Christ Church and loved art work and music.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Saturday December 6, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel Galesburg with Elder Marilyn Rice officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in which will be given to a charity of their choice.
