Raines, 82, of Flint were held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg, Ill., under the direction of Hinchcliff, Pearson, West Funeral Home, Galesburg, Ill., with local arrangements under direction of the Lloyd James Funeral Home of Tyler. Mrs. Raines died Friday, July 22, in a Tyler hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1911, in Martin, Tenn., and lived at Lake Palestine since 1973. Mrs. Raines was a seamstress, retired from Claudia's Bridal Chateau in Tyler, and was a member of the Noonday Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Raines in 1975. Survivors include two sisters, Estelle Torok, Glenview, Ill., and Pearl Fuqua of Dresden, Ill. [should read "Martin, Tenn."]; and several nieces and nephews.
