Born here, Mrs. Grapel was a daughter of the late Norman and Jessa Smith. She was a lifelong borough resident. In 1958, Mrs. Grapel retired from Sterling Drug Co., New York City, after 30 years service as a medical secretary.
Surviving are a son, Christian A. Grapel of Jersey City, and a grandson Christian J. Grapel.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Robert A. Braun Home for Funerals. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
