Mrs. Catherine Avis Smith, an almost life long resident of this place, died at her home, in Embree Crescent, on Saturday evening last, after an illness of lengthy duration.
Mrs. Smith was in her 90th year. She at one time was interested in a photograph studio in Broad street.
The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from her late home, Rev. J. Allnut Smith, Rector of St. Paul's church, officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in Fairview.
Mrs. Smith is survived by four sons and several grandchildren.
