Evelyn Lucille (Snow) Brockel April 8, 1926 - January 23, 2011 Evelyn was raised in Glennville, CA. Her family (Dunlaps) settled in the Glennville area in 1854. She attended Linns Valley grade school and graduated from Bakersfield High school. She moved to San Diego and worked for the Navy rebuilding carburetors for Navy planes. She married Lawrence Snow and had three children, Van, Gayle, and Rosalie. She later moved to Kernville, met and married Bob Brockel. They moved to Sacramento in 1971 where she lived for 37 years. After the death of her husband Bob, she moved to Klamath, CA to be near her daughter Rosalie. She leaves behind 2 children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was well known for her artistic abilities; sewing, cooking, and gardening. She was an amazing person and will be greatly missed, especially her smile. She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian Hunt, Father Martin "Tub" Hunt", husband Bob Brockel, brother Gene Hunt, and son Dr. Van Snow. Service is scheduled for Saturday February 26th, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bakersfield, CA. www.bakersfield.com/obits
