She was born the daughter of William and Mabel Haskins Sparks. A lifetime Pratt area resident, she was a homemaker. She attended the Pratt First United Methodist Church. On May 26, 1930, she married Erie J. Cowen at Kingman. He died Dec. 27, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Singleton.
