More accurate DOB is likely 1898. Lea, also known in her youth as Lena, immigrated with her family in 1910. She lived in New Haven, CT until she married her husband, Maurice Goldstein, in 1927. The couple lived out their lives in Worcester, MA. In 1934 they adopted their son, and only child, Robert. In 1949 the family of three changed their surname from Goldstein to Gould. Lea outlived her husband, son, parents, and siblings, dying peacefully in her sleep in her 90s.

From her obituary: "Mrs. Gould was a member of Beth Israel Synagogue and its Sisterhood; the Worcester area chapter of Hadassah; Worcester Section, National Council of Jewish Women; the Mizrachi Women's Zionist Organization; the National Women's Committee to Brandeis University; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center. She was an active volunteer for many years at the Jewish Service Center for Older Adults."
