Mrs. Rachel Eveline Abbott, 85, died at Whittenburg early today, at the home of her daughter, Miss Stella Abbott, with whom she has lived for a number of years. Miss Abbott is the chief telephone operation for the Phillips Petroleum company at Whittenburg.

Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Methodist church and is survived by three daughters, Miss Stella Abbott, Mrs. Marie Ellis of Whittenburg, and Mrs. Ethel Cunningham of Oklahoma City; one brother, Alex Stacey of Arkansas City, Kansas, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Routh of Los Angeles, Calif., and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the First Christian church in Borger Friday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. L.O. Byerly officiating. Pallbearers are Jack Walker, Earl Jackson, Frank Brown, R.H. Mack, Paul Wilson and H.W. Dick.

Interment will be in Highland cemetery, with Carver Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
