Ruth Allison Staudt, 102, a musician, mentor, wit, friend and wonderful wife and mother, died peacefully Friday, May 4, 2012 in Tulsa, OK.

She was born December 9, 1909 in Highland Park, Michigan and graduated in 1933 from the University of Michigan with a degree in music. She was married to John Guild Staudt for forty-nine years from 1933 to his death in 1982. She moved to Tulsa in 1934 and, with the exception of the 1960's, lived in Tulsa ever since. Mrs. Staudt was a founding member of ConcerTime (now Chamber Music Tulsa), a member of Sigma Alpha Iota music sorority and Chi Omega. She was a skilled pianist, playing both the solo and two-piano repertoire. She was also an avid traveler. She was an active member of All Souls Unitarian Church for over 70 years. Under the auspices of the church, she volun- teered at Jackson Elementary School where she initiated music classes for third and fourth graders. She was a long-time volunteer at the Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges in the 1970's and 1980's.

She is survived by two children, David Allison Staudt and Janet Staudt Allen and daughter-in-law Susan S. Staudt. Her son Daniel Guild Staudt died February 13, 2012. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 14, 2012 at All Souls Unitarian Church, 2952 South Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74114. The service will be livestreamed at www.allsoulschurch.org. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All Souls Unitarian Church, Hospice of Green Country, St. Simeon's Employees Fund or the charity of your choice.
