Daniel Stewart was born in Georgetown, PEI to William Stewart and Janetta Campbell. They had at least 10 children, and Daniel was near the middle.
Daniel married Sarah Jane Cameron in about 1870. They had at least 6 children - William Allan Stewart (1871-1962), Wallace Cameron Stewart (1873-1943), Charles Stewart (1875-1951), Ethel Stewart (1876-1956), Lorne Stewart (1878-1966) and Pearl Stewart (1883-1918). Neither of the two daughters married.
Daniel was in the military service, achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Many members of the family are listed on the same headstone (see enclosed photo from BillionGraves.com).
Daniel died in 1921 and Sarah Jane died 18 years later, but she never remarried.
