OBIT: CHILDRESS - Maxine Everett Ackerson, 82, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Robertson of First United Methodist Church of Childress officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Mrs. Ackerson was born in Seneca, Mo., and had lived in Childress for the past six years. She taught school at Borger High School, Frank Phillips Jr. College and Madison High in Houston. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Everett, in 1970 and by her second husband, Jay Ackerson, in 1991. Survivors include a son, Phil Everett of Temple; a daughter, Nancy Garrison of Tell; a sister, Helen Schultze of Fairland, Okla.; and seven grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 5, 1999
