Alice Elizabeth "Betty Stroud Hoagland was born August 22, 1926 in Trenton Nebraska. At the age of 2, she moved to rural Webster County Mo. with her parents, Earl A. and Sybil (McDonald) Stroud.
Betty graduated from Marshfield High School and married Dale Hoagland in 1944, they moved to Springfield where she lived until her death. She was a medical assistant for Dr Kenneth Knabb and other physicians for many years. Betty was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Greene County Medical Secrtaries and Assistants.
She was preceded in death by her parents and huaband. Betty is survived by a sister, Elaine Crabtree, a special niece, Cira Susan Crabtree, her chilren, Ian and Sam Link, severa nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. Monday November 5, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
