Mary Jane "Janie" Stroud Ferrel, 66, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 8:06 PM Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Mrs. Ferrel was born September 14, 1948, in Cooperstown, New York to Jack and Mary Jane Mahaffey Stroud.
She was married to Roy Q. Ferrel, Jr. on October 17, 1970. He survives.
Mrs. Ferrel attended school in Kirkwood, Missouri and graduated high school in 1966. She later attended college at the University of Missouri. She enjoyed watching Mizzou Basketball and was a diehard St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. She was a talented bowler and was inducted in the Northeast Missouri Bowling Hall of Fame. Mary Jane enjoyed visiting the family farm and spending time with family and friends. She also previously worked at Maritz Travel Company in St. Louis, MO and in the Marion County Collector's office. She later retired from the Hannibal Public School District Food Service Department. Mrs. Ferrel was a Catholic by faith. She attended Holy Family Catholic Church.

Ferrel III (Kimberly) of Shakopee, MN, Kelli Renee Jaenicke (Scott) of Hannibal, MO, 5 grandchildren, Mollie Ann Ferrel, Ayden Que Ferrel, Lauren Rene Jaenicke, Jordan Lynn Jaenicke, Matthew Brian Jaenicke, 3 brothers in law, Robby Ferrel (Lana), Richy Ferrel (Becky), and Ronny Ferrel and cousin, Camilla Ferrel (Matt) and their children, Thomas, Richy Lynn, Justin and Robert and cousin, Dr. James Shumaker and wife Camilla of Paducah, KY.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, July 10, 2015 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Crenshaw, Brian Boleach, Terrance Dinsmore, Aaron Boleach, Rich Feith and Todd Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will Jim Murphy and Matthew Romano.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hannibal Youth Bowling Program in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
