Eve 'Eva Margaretha' Stephan was born on September 17, 1831 in Lampertheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt. Her father Adam Stephan b1778 was 53 and her mother Anna Maria 'Mary' Herweck was 42. Eva came over to America aboard the Ship 'Trimdon' in Aug 1832 when she was just 9 mos old. This writers G/grandfather Adam Stephan b1813 was with her family and No doubt held her as an infant on the long journey to America. She arrived with her parents on these shores on Aug 10, 1832 into New York. She initially lived in Berwick, Adams Co, Penns as of 1850. She married Solomon Sunday in 1857. She & Solomon had 10 Children between 1857 and 1880. 0n the 1900 census it is stated that 6 of them were still living. They lived out their lives in Lee Co, Ill some 800 miles to the east. She passed away on June 22, 1909 in Lee County, Illinois having lived a long life of 77 years.
