Elizabeth "Madell" Rice, 90, of Greenbrier, died Saturday December 15, 2012 at NHC Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday December 18th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Warren officiating.

Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Nashville with Scott Rice, Robby Barnett, Jon Moore, Lee Thomas Walters, Bill James, and Richard Washer serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rice was born January 19, 1922 in Davidson County to the late Victor Ulous Taylor and Ruby Mae Jones Taylor Peterson.

She was a retired production manager for the Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rice was a member of Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Wrenn Rice.

Mrs. Rice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Samuel "Sammy" and Elva Rice of Greenbrier, daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth Ann and Roger Williams of Joelton, grandchildren: Michelle (Andrew) Thomsen, Stacey (Jon) Moore, Kimberly Barnett, Scott (Heather) Rice, Kelly Stephan, eleven great grandchildren

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund
