Gertrude L. "Taylor" Bright, 82, of Rivesville, passed away Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 7, 2011) in her residence. She was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Hiller, Pa., daughter of the late Harry John and Lizzie "Stewart" Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, David William Bright, who died in 1992. Mrs. Bright was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Fairmont. She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family and her many friends. Survivors include four sons, Gary and his wife Vicki Bright of Rivesville, William Bright and his friend Sharon Bender of Hagan's Community, Terry and his wife Cathy Bright of Rivesville, and Barry Bright of Rivesville; five sisters, Ramona Bright Summers Reese of Rivesville, Elizabeth Bright Towns of Rivesville, Nancy Bright Scott of Rivesville, Sandra and her husband Jess Summers of Rivesville, and Debra Bright Yelish of Rivesville; one brother, Dale and his wife Helen Taylor of Fairmont; two sisters, Lula Bright of Everettsvillle and Joyce and her husband Jerry Bowman of Boothsville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Bright; four brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper Street, Rivesville, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m., with Rev. John Abersold officiating. Interment will follow at the Arnettsville Cemetery in Arnettsville. Serving as pallbearers will be sons, grandsons and friends
