Lula (Taylor) Chancellor was born on December 13, 1877 in Anderson County, South Carolina, and her mother was Tally Taylor.
She was married about 1897 in South Carolina as the 2nd wife of Elijah Chancellor (1869-1937), the son of Thomas Chancellor and Mary Ann (Proctor) Chancellor.
The family moved to Georgia about 1906 and was in Tennessee at least by 1910.
Living at 911 12th Avenue South in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Lula 64 years old and a widow when she died at home of diabetes on February 17, 1942. Burial was four days later in Mount Ararat Cemetery, Nashville.
