She was born on October 27, 1944 in Vienna, WV to the late Harold and Velma Taylor. Marlene was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and West Virginia Wesleyan College where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She spent many years in sales for real estate, radio, and home furnishings. She loved to cook and spend time with family and friends and was a very supportive spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her home and enjoyed decorating and antiques. Marlene will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Michael Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her son, William E. Mildren III, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her son Charles J. Mildren and his wife Nikki and their two children Annie and Margaret of Vienna, WV; her daughter, Suzanne Brooks and husband Patrick and their two children Will and Caroline of Charlotte, NC; her stepson Jared Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her brother, William Taylor and his wife Paula of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Services will be held on Friday, February 22nd at 2p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Parkersburg, WV. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Services will also be held on Sunday, February 24th at St. Andrews Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC at 1 p.m. Family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service.
