George Earl Acord, 57-year old St. Albans barber, and his wife, Aileen Elizabeth Acord, 47 who were killed Sunday in a highway accident east of Clifton Forge, Va., will be buried at their native Rock Creek in Raleign County.

Joint service for the couple, 308 Virginia Ave. N, in the Marlaing Addition of St. Albans
will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Rebecca Chapel. The Rev. Virgil Cook and the Rev. Gene Eaton will officiate, and burial will be in Miller Cemetery at Rock Creek

Mr. Acord was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He operated a barber shop on
downtown Main Street in St. Albans until moving his shop nearer to his home.

Mr. and Mrs. Acord were returning from a visit to the home of their son, George Earl Jr. of Monmouth, N. J., when their car collided with another on US. 60.

Besides the son in New Jersey they are survived by two other sons, Larry and Walter of Orlando,Fla.

Mrs. Acord also is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lillie Burns Taylor of Pettus; sisters
Mrs. Loraine Clay of Cocoa, Fla., Miss. Lucille Taylor and Mrs. Jackie Thompson, both of Chesapeake, Mrs. Ivy Walk of Decota, Mrs. Ruth Glasbey of Birchton, N. Y.; and brothers, Chester Taylor of Pettus, and Edgar Ernest Taylor of Columbus, Ohio.

Also surviving Mr. Acord are sisters, Mrs. A. E. Miller and Mrs. Nana Acord, both of Beckey and brothers , Darl of Cleveland, Ohio, and Omer of Arnett.

The bodies are at the Melton Mortuary in Beckley, where friends may call after 5 p. m.
