Ida Louise Day, 93, of Morgantown, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at her residence.

She was born March 22, 1922 at Daybrook, a daughter of late John F. Tennant and Julia (error) her name was Georgia Sine) Tennant.

Mrs. Day was a homemaker.

Ida was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are: Rodney Moats (whom she raised) and his wife Carolyn of Morgantown; three grandchildren and their spouses, Rodney Moats Jr and his wife Laurie of Blacksville, Kylee Moats and her fiance’ Dequoy Weaver of Riverside, California, and Noah Moats and his wife Lucy of Morgantown; five great-grandchildren, Colton Moats, Mya Moats, Jackson Moats, Claire Moats, and Zylee Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Day who died on December 27, 2012; and ten brothers and five sisters.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public services. All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
