Violet Lucille Conner, 80, of 17 Laverne Lane, Akron, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Summa-Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio.
She was born June 11, 1923, at Fairview, W.Va., daughter of the late Learney D. and Bertha Wilson Tennant.
Violet dedicated most of her life to the care of her daughter, Betty.
She is survived by a son and spouse, Richard and Meredith Conner, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and a daughter, Betty Ellen Conner, of Akron, Ohio; four brothers and two spouses, Learney D. Tennant Jr., Homer L. Tennant and William and Jenny Tennant, all of Fairview, W.Va., and Stanley and Elaine Tennant, of Fairmont, W.Va.; three sisters and a spouse, Marjorie Kiger, of Fairmont, W.Va., Mavis and Lloyd Lantz, of Fairview, W.Va., and Jean Berry, of Mount Morris, Pa.; a stepgrandson, Daniel Worrell; a sister-in-law, Mary Kurnutte, of Fairmont, W.Va.; and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Conner, April 12, 1973; a brother, Ivan D. (Bud) Tennant; and two sisters, Pansy Butcher Lowthers and Helen Tennant.
Friends may call at Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the funeral home, with the Rev. David Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown, W.Va.
