Mrs. Barr was born March 5, 1923 at Wadestown, WV a daughter of the late Homer Tennant and Estella Howard Tennant Blue.
She was retired from Westinghouse in Fairmont where she worked for more than 35 years in the sealed beam department. She was a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, David Barr of Mill Creek, WV; one daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & Gene Hebb of Fairmont; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Marjorie Tennant of Bear, Delaware; two sisters & one brother-in-law, Betty Straight of Monumental and Carol and Jim Parson of Buffalo, WV; four grandchildren, Diana Brady, Deana Corley, Michael Hebb, and Ruth Hebb; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul Barr; one son, John Barr in 1969; one brother, Albert Tennant; and one sister, Julia Huffman.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00PM Thursday with the Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
