Eva Ethel Arnett, 102, of Jakes Run, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Sundale Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 27, 1900, at Jakes Run, daughter of the late Arzie and Flora Olive Wilson Tennant.
She lived her entire life at Jakes Run, attending a one-room school and graduating from the eighth grade. She attended Jakes Run Methodist Church and devoted her life to the care of her family. Although she had to give up her favorite pastime, quilting, a few years ago, she continued to crochet and do word puzzles until the last few days of her life. She was a woman who was greatly loved by her family and friends, and will be remembered for her quiet strength and loving nature. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

She is survived by three sons and spouses, a daughter,16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a special friend

Her husband Arlie Arnett, whom she married May 15, 1920, preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1971.
Also preceding her in death were three daughters, Alberta Sago, Judy Jolliff and Olive Ethel Arnett; a grandson, Mike Arnett; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Sago, David Sago Jr., Chad Wilson and infant Jolliff; four brothers, Mahlon, Lindsey, Nimrod and Glenn Tennant; and a sister, Iva Wright.
