Mrs. Mary Belle Thomas Hazel, 77, of East Orange departed on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at the Capital Health Hospital, Trenton. Mrs. Thomas-Hazel was born in Orange, and was a resident of East Orange for 30 years. She worked for 15 years as an administrative coordinator at UMDNJ at the School of Health Related Professions before retiring. She was the beloved mother of Sharon M. Hazel-Griggs; loving grandmother of Crystal Griggs; dear sister of Morris M. Thomas, Jr. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
