The funeral for Bertha R. Thompson of Fairfax was held today in San Anselmo, followed by private burial in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died in a local hospital Friday shortly after falling ill in the home at 12 Creek Road, Fairfax, where she lived with her daughter, Maudean Dark. Mrs. Thompson was 87.
She moved to Marin 15 years ago, after some 20 years in San Francisco. She was born and reared in Louisiana. She was the widow of the late Manlus H. Thompson.
In addition to Mrs. Dark, she is survived by 2 sons, O.H. Thompson and Russell Thompson of Louisiana; 2 daughters, Lois Durison of Louisiana; and Nerrissa Joseph of San Francisco; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
